Easy Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. lean beef
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    salt to taste
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 large onion
    2 cans mushroom soup
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1 c. cooking sherry
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Cut beef in thin strips; finely chop onion.
    Brown meat in margarine and cooking oil; remove from pan.
    Saute onion in same pan, then return meat to pan.
    Add marjoram, thyme, soup, salt and caraway seed.
    Cover; simmer until meat is tender.
    Just before serving, add sour cream and sherry.
    Heat but do not boil.
    Add nutmeg; serve over rice or noodles.
    Serves 6.
