Holiday Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    6 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in warm water/sugar
    5 lb. (approximately) unbleached flour
    candied fruit and nuts as desired
    nutmeg and cinnamon as desired
Preparation
    Add yeast to warm water and sugar in small bowl and set aside. Scald milk and pour into large mixing bowl. Add slices of butter and stir (to melt). Add eggs and sugar.
    Stir in well, allowing mixture to cool. Add ground/chopped candied fruit, nuts and spices.
    Add flour as needed. Set dough aside to rise. Cover lightly.
    Grease pans for loaves or cookie sheets for braids and wreaths.
