No Fail Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3)
    1 Tbsp. vinegar plus milk to make 1/2 c. liquid
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Cream shortening.
    Blend in sugar; add eggs, one at a time and beat until fluffy.
    Add flour mixture alternately with bananas and liquid, beating well after each addition.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 3/4-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until done.
    Remove from pan and cool.
