Ingredients

12 large, ripe tomatoes, peeled
12 large apples, peeled
8 medium onions
2 large green peppers
2 c. golden raisins
4 tsp. salt
4 c. light brown sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1/3 c. mixed pickling spices
Preparation

Chop fine the tomatoes, apples, onions and green peppers.
I put them through the blender or chop with some of the vinegar for liquid.
Combine both raisins, salt, sugar and vinegar.
Tie spices in cheesecloth bag and add.
Boil 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove spice bag.
Ladle into 1/2 pint jars boiling hot.
Seal at once.
Cool and label.
