Beer Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 (12 oz.) cans beer
1 pkg. yeast
4 1/2 tsp. sugar
4 1/2 c. flour
1 beaten egg for egg wash
coarse kosher salt
Preparation

Mix beer, yeast and sugar together until yeast is dissolved and foamy.
Add flour; mix well.
Knead about 10 minutes.
Cover and let rise until doubled.
Cover a cookie sheet with foil and grease well.
Punch dough down; break off walnut sized pieces of dough and roll into rope, then shape into pretzel.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake at 475\u00b0 about 12 minutes.
Best eaten while still warm as the pretzels get tough as they sit.
