Eight Layer Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
1 (8 oz.) pkg. sour cream, softened
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
6 oz. noodles, cooked
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach, cooked and drained
4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

In a large skillet, cook beef until brown. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Combine sour cream, cream cheese, milk and onion. In a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish or 2-quart casserole, layer 1/2 of the noodles, 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture, then all the spinach. Layer with remaining noodles and meat. Cover with foil. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Chill remaining cream cheese mixture. After 45 minutes, spread remaining cream cheese mixture and top with shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, an additional 10 minutes. Serves 4 to 6 people.
