"Jan'S" Quick Navy Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 onion, diced
    2 (15 oz.) cans navy beans
    8 oz. cooked smoked ham, diced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/4 c. fresh chopped parsley
    1 tsp. thyme
    2 c. chicken broth or chicken bouillon
Preparation
    Saute onion in olive oil.
    Add garlic and stir for one minute. Add ham; saute on low to medium heat for a few minutes.
    Add all remaining ingredients.
    Heat on medium for 5 minutes; reduce to simmer.
    Serve when hot.
    Serves 2 to 4.
