Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 to 5 medium bananas, mashed
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix together dry ingredients.
    Beat shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Then mix in dry ingredients, mashed bananas and chopped nuts.
    Mix only until blended.
    Pour into one regular-size greased loaf pan or 2 small loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on size of pan.
    Use toothpick, inserted into center of loaf, to test for doneness.
