Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 small can green chili pepper, drained and chopped
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Mix all together.
    Bake in greased loaf or iron skillet at 400\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
