Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10. 5 oz.) cans asparagus (whole or cut in spears)
    2 c. grated cheese
    2 c. cracker crumbs
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    sliced or slivered almonds
Preparation
    Drain liquid from asparagus into a saucepan; add 1/2 stick butter.
    Heat.
    Make a paste of milk and cornstarch.
    Add to hot liquid.
