Lady'S Damson Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
5 eggs, beaten *
1 c. Damson preserves
1 tsp. vanilla
2 unbaked pie shells

*If you want meringue, reserve 3 egg whites and use 1/3 cup sugar.
