Squash Fritters(Hush Puppies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. flour
    1/3 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, grated
Preparation
    Cook the squash in boiling water 10 to 15 minutes. Drain and mash squash to make 1 cup.
    Combine squash and egg.
    Stir well. Combine flour, meal, baking powder and salt. Add squash and onion. Stir. Drop into hot oil. Cook until brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
