Chinese Almond Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Sift flour once.
    Mix all the ingredients in large mixing bowl.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
    Make small dent in cookie ball with the end of a chopstick or ice pick dipped in red food color.
    Handle the dough very carefully.
    This is a very short dough.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 10 dozen cookies.
