Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening (half oleo and Crisco)
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. cocoa
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Mix cocoa and flour.
Add to creamed ingredients.
Alternate 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk. You can mix your own buttermilk using the powdered.
Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and add last. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Test with toothpick.
