Paula'S Western Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef brisket or boneless round or chuck roast
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. catsup
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    2 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
    In large saucepot, brown on both sides meat in oil.
    Add onion; cook until golden.
    Combine catsup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and vinegar; pour over meat.
    Simmer, covered, until meat is tender, about 3 hours.
    Serve sliced with sauce, along with carrot and potato chunks, if desired.
    Serves 8.
