Failproof Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. long grain rice, washed thoroughly
    1/4 stick margarine
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1/3 c. Shirea (rosamarina)
    3 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Use large 4 quart (no stick) pan which has been sprayed with oil on bottom and around sides.
    Melt margarine and Crisco over high heat and add the Shirea cooking until golden brown stirring occasionally.
    Add the rice and stir until all grains have been coated (approximately one minute).
    Add the boiling water and stir. When water returns to rapid boil, put tight lid on pan, reduce heat to lowest setting and let steam for about 1/2 hour.
    Lift lid, stir just one time, replace lid and let stand for another 15 minutes still on lowest heat.
    Stir again and serve.
