Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Blend into first mixture.
    Form 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
    Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
