Easy Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. raisins
    4 c. milk
    nutmeg
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 c. light or heavy cream (I use half and half)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar or less
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    cinnamon (on top)
Preparation
    Cook first two ingredients together in a double boiler for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, stirring occasionally.
    May be necessary to add a little milk.
    Add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
    Vary by adding currants or raisins part-way through cooking period.
