Berry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 c. milk
    1 beaten egg
    2 to 3 pt. berries
    1 c. water
    butter
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add egg and beat.
    Add flour sifted with baking powder, salt and milk a little at a time.
    Pour thin batter in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Spread 2 to 3 boxes of berries on top.
    Sprinkle 1 cup sugar over fruit.
    Dot with butter.
    Pour 1 cup boiling water over all.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour until golden brown.
