Cheese Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sharp cheese, grated
    1 stick margarine, softened
    1 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
    dash of red pepper (cayenne)
    2 egg whites (room temperature)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except egg whites, together to form dough. Roll into 2 long rolls.
    Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
    Next day, cut into 1/8-inch circles.
    Beat egg whites lightly and brush onto each cheese circle.
    Place a pecan half on each circle before the egg whites begin to dry.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
