Overnight Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) bag frozen peas
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. mayonnaise
    8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
    (4 oz.) Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Layer vegetables in oblong 9 X 13 dish.
    Lettuce must be dry (can be shaken in bag with paper towel to dry).
    Spread mayonnaise and sugar mixture over top.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover; refrigerate overnight.
