1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Put sugar and flour in skillet; mix.
Beat eggs well; add to milk, then add this to the flour and sugar.
Gradually beat until smooth and thick (if too thick, add little milk).
Make thinner than pie filling.
After cooked, add butter and vanilla.
Put vanilla wafers on bottom of bowl, sliced bananas on top of wafers, then pudding mixture.
Layer until all is gone.
End with pudding on top.
Beat egg whites stiff, and brown.
