Excellent Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream butter, oil and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet.
(May also let dough chill one hour.)
Roll into walnut size balls.
Flatten cookie with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes four dozen 2 1/2-inch cookies.
