Ingredients

1 c. margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

In large bowl, beat margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Reduce speed to low.
Gradually beat in flour until just blended.
(If dough is too stiff, beat in 1 or 2 tablespoons water.)
Let dough stand in refrigerator overnight. Be sure to wrap dough in plastic wrap.
