Donna'S Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. apples (McIntosh), peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c. sugar or to taste
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
dash of salt
1/2 lemon
1/2 stick butter
1 egg, beaten
2 pie crusts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together.
Squeeze in lemon.
Mix in with apples.
Spread a little flour on bottom of pie plate and on top of bottom pie crust.
Pour in half of apple mixture.
Top with 1/4 stick butter.
Add remaining apple mixture.
Top with 1/4 stick butter.
Place top pie crust on; finger-crimp edges around pan.
Beat whole egg and brush over top crust.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Cool and eat.
