Creamy Cooked Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 Tbsp. flour (heaping)
1 c. milk
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook flour and milk until thick, then let cool. (Stir with whisk while cooking to get lumps out.)
Beat butter for 4 minutes. Add sugar and beat again.
Add cooled mixture and vanilla.
Beat 4 minutes again.
This icing stays soft.
