Rolled Stuffed Beef Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. boneless beef roast
    6 slender carrots
    4 medium potatoes
    1 celery stick
    1 large onion
    black pepper as desired
Preparation
    Leave carrots whole.
    Cut potatoes in fourths lengthwise. Chop celery and onion fine.
    Starting at one end of meat, place a layer of carrots and a layer of potatoes.
    Repeat.
    Put chopped celery and onion on last.
    Sprinkle half the salt on top of vegetables.
    Form meat roll.
    Tie or pin with toothpicks. Sprinkle other half of salt on outside of meat roll.
    Brown meat in a very hot oven, then add a quart of hot water.
    Cover and bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours.
