Asparagus Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can asparagus spears, drained
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Arrange asparagus in buttered dish.
    Melt butter and blend in flour and salt; add milk gradually stirring constantly; cook until smooth and thick; add cheese and stir until melted.
    Pour over asparagus.
    Top with bread crumbs and a dot of butter.
    Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in 325\u00b0 oven.
