Parker County Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 heaping tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
    1 qt. fruit (peaches, apricots, b.berries, fresh or frozen)
Preparation
    Melt butter in 2-quart baking dish. Combine dry ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup sugar. Stir into melted butter into baking dish. Add milk and stir again.
