French Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 c. buttermilk
    pepper
    flour
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Slice onion into 1/2-inch slices.
    Skin, salt and pepper. Marinate in buttermilk, about 1 hour.
    Pour 1 to 1 1/2 cups flour into a small paper bag.
    Drop onion slices into bag and shake until well coated.
    Drop into hot vegetable oil and fry until golden brown.
