Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. butter
    1 chopped onion
    4 c. beef broth
    1/2 c. barley
    salt and pepper
    1 c. evaporated milk or cream
Preparation
    Brown mushrooms in butter.
    Add onion and continue to saute until onion looks clear.
    Add beef broth.
    Bring to boil.
    Add barley and boil for 45 minutes.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Add milk or cream.
    Serves 6.
