Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 additional c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 bananas, sliced
    1 can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 pkg. whipped topping
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 (8 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and sliced
Preparation
    Combine the graham cracker crumbs and 1/2 cup butter in a bowl and mix well.
    Spread and pat into bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine the sugar and remaining butter in a large bowl.
    Beat until light.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Spread carefully over crumbs.
    Arrange banana slices over butter-sugar mixture.
    Top with pineapple.
    Cover with whipped topping.
    Sprinkle with nuts and garnish with cherries.
    Keep in refrigerator.
