Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. cooked carrots, mashed
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and carrots.
    Add sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Frost cookies while still warm with juice of 1 orange and powdered sugar.
