Steak Salad Italiano - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. beef strip steak
1 small green pepper, cut in rings
1 small red onion, sliced (rings separated)
1/4 c. fresh basil leaves, minced
1/3 c. Italian dressing
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. each: salt and pepper
1 head lettuce
small cherry tomatoes
Preparation

Preheat broiler.
Put steak on broiler pan.
Broil 6 inches from heat, 3 to 5 minutes on each side, depending on desired doneness.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Slice steak into thin strips. Put steak, green pepper, basil, onion, dressing, salt and pepper in large bowl.
Toss to mix.
Add cheese; gently toss.
Cover; chill.
Separate lettuce.
Arrange on serving platter.
Spoon salad over lettuce.
Garnish with tomatoes.
