Swedish Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. walnuts
1 c. Spry or 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening
4 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 c. flour (level)
2 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat egg yolks and add to mixture. Sift baking powder, flour and pinch of salt together.
Add milk and flour alternately to mixture, a little of each at a time.
Flour nuts lightly and add to mixture.
Beat egg whites separately and fold in carefully (do not beat).
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 (start at 375\u00b0 and turn down to 350\u00b0, 40 to 50 minutes).
Use a good sized pan.
