Sauerkraut And Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 porks chops (1/2 inch thick)
    oil (for browning)
    1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
    1/8 tsp. instant garlic flakes
    3 c. drained sauerkraut
    3/4 c. apple juice or applesauce
    1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown pork chops in nonstick pan.
    Place half of onion rings, garlic flakes, sauerkraut, apple juice, caraway seed, salt, thyme and pepper in slow cooker.
    Add pork chops.
    Place remaining half of ingredients on top of chops.
    Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Can be cooked on stove for 4 hours.
