Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 small or 1 large egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. nuts (hickory)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and milk.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder all at once.
Put in nuts.
Stir all at once.
Add vanilla.
Let rise for 20 minutes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
