Prize Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add one egg at a time.
    Beat well. Alternately add flour and milk.
    Stir in coconut and vanilla. Pour in two 9-inch pans, greased and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    When cake is cool, frost with 7-Minute Frosting.
