Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. red food coloring
3 Tbsp. instant cocoa powder (Nestle Quik)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and coloring; beat 10 minutes.
Add buttermilk and slowly add the flour.
Add salt, vanilla and cocoa.
Remove bowl from mixer and add by hand, mixing lightly, the vinegar and soda.
Grease and flour pan before adding mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
