Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup margarine
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
    1 cup raisins (optional)
    1 cup coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugars. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats, raisins and pecans. Shape into 1- inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Do not overbake. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
