Sausage-Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1 qt. water
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
    2 (16 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
    1 onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper
    1 c. peeled and diced potatoes
    1/2 tsp. whole thyme
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Crumble sausage into a deep 5-quart casserole.
    Microwave, uncovered, on High for 6 to 7 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink, stirring every 2 minutes.
    Drain off drippings.
    Stir in water, tomatoes, beans, onion, green pepper, potatoes, salt, garlic salt, thyme and pepper.
    Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap and microwave on High for 45 to 50 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring every 15 minutes.
