Applesauce Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. applesauce, sweetened
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. melted butter or 1 stick Parkay spread (oleo)
1 c. seedless white raisins
3 lb. mixed candied fruit
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Combine applesauce, cocoa and soda.
Beat the soda and cocoa into the applesauce, then add sugar and butter or oleo.
Dredge the raisins, nuts and candied fruit with part of flour.
Add to the batter mixture.
Add vanilla, salt and flour.
Beat by hand.
Line an angel food cake pan with wax paper.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
