Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
    Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Alternate adding milk and dry ingredients.
    Add flavorings last.
    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Place in a COLD oven.
    Turn to 300\u00b0 and bake 2 hours.
