Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 layer chopped lettuce
    1 layer chopped onions
    1 can English peas, drained
    layer diced tomatoes
    1 small jar bacon bits
    1 layer grated cheese
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise, mixed with 1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Layer all ingredients in order given in a serving dish or large salad bowl.
    Put mayonnaise on top and seal.
    Let stand for 2 hours or more before serving.
