Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter.
    Add onion and cook until tender. Add onion, tomatoes and seasonings.
    Arrange layers of tomatoes and mixture and crumbs in greased baking dish, ending with crumbs. Dot with butter.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven 30 to 40 minutes.
