Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
Preparation
-
Mix as usual.
Refrigerate several hours.
Roll on floured surface and cut to desired shapes.
Bake until light brown at 350\u00b0.
These puff up some and stay soft.
Ice.
