Chicken A La King - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. chicken stock
2 c. sliced, cooked chicken
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne
2 egg yolks
2 pimentos (1/2 c.), cut in strips
Preparation

Melt Crisco and brown mushrooms.
Add flour and stir until blended.
Slowly add stock.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
Add chicken, salt and cayenne.
Cook until chicken is hot.
Add a little of the sauce to egg yolks and return to rest of mixture.
Continue stirring over heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in pimentos.
Serve hot over rice or biscuits.
