Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 3/4 to 2 c. peanuts
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Grease large baking sheet.
    Combine sugar and corn syrup in a microwave-safe bowl.
    Cook on High for 4 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts.
    Cook on High 4 more minutes.
    Stir in butter and vanilla.
    Cook on High for 2 1/2 minutes.
    Add baking soda stir until light and foamy.
    Pour into the greased baking sheet.
    Cool. Break into pieces.
    Yields 1 pound.
