Strawberry Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    3 c. granulated sugar
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed and pureed
    3 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, thawed
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
    3 (.14 oz.) pkg. each unsweetened cherry flavored soft drink mix (Kool-Aid)
    1 liter ginger ale, chilled
Preparation
    Punch must be made 1 day in advance.
    In a 6-quart container, mix together first 7 ingredients.
    Loosely cover and freeze until firm.
    Remove punch from freezer about 4 hours before serving, partially thaw.
    To serve, break into chunks.
    Add ginger ale and stir until slushy.

    26 servings.
