Yum Yum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water or tomato juice
    1 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 box raisins (8 oz.)
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. walnuts
    6 oz. maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Cook the first 7 ingredients together until raisins are soft. Allow to cool; add the next 5 ingredients and mix well by hand. Batter will be very stiff.
    Grease and flour Bundt or 2 loaf pans. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
